Stroke play
Individual stroke playPlay your own ball and count every shot. Ranked by net score for season points.
-
Par 3
Par-3 eventEighteen par-3 holes. You play with 40% of your strokes.
-
Two-ball
Two-ball solo (play two balls, keep the better)Play two balls on every shot and keep the better one. You play with 70% of your strokes.
-
Stableford
StablefordEnter strokes as usual: each hole’s net score earns points against par (Kevin’s table: double bogey or worse 0 · bogey 1 · par 2 · birdie 3 · eagle 4 · albatross or better 5). Most points wins; skins stay on net strokes.
-
Red-tee wind
Red-tee wind challengeStroke play from the red tees in gusty wind.
-
Tee ladder
Tee ladderStroke play with your tee set by the standings through the weeks already played: top third from the back tees, middle third from the middle tees, bottom third from the forward tees. Your band locks when the week starts and shows on the tee sheet and your scorecard. Everyone plays with their usual strokes for the week: the tee is the challenge. How the thirds split and whether strokes follow the tee aren’t final yet (Kevin decides): for now fewer players at the top, and the week’s usual strokes. That the thirds come from the standings as of the week’s Monday is Kevin’s.
-
Championship
Championship conditionsStroke play from the back tees, with firm fairways and fast greens.
-
Scramble
Two-person scrambleYou and a random partner both hit, pick the better shot, and both play from there. Kevin draws the partners before the week opens; yours shows on this page. One card per team. Team strokes: 50% of the lower partner’s handicap plus 25% of the higher partner’s. Each partner gets the team’s points: 20, 18, 16 …, and half of what the team’s skins come to (rounded down to a whole dollar).
-
Shamble
Two-person shambleYou and a random partner both drive, keep the better drive, then each plays their own ball into the hole with 80% of their own strokes. Both scores go on the team’s one card, and the team’s score on each hole is the better net score. Each partner gets the team’s points: 20, 18, 16 …, and half of what the team’s skins come to (rounded down to a whole dollar).
